TO CONFIRM AND LOCK IN A BOOKING: I do request a standard retainer which is equivalent to a 25% deposit to secure a booking (non-refundable but may be transferable limited up to two months, or until only the next tour to the same city) - until this booking fee has been received and acknowledged the booking is not considered confirmed. The remaining balance is due in cash at the time of the shoot, electronic transfers for balance are possible but attract a 10% invoicing charge. *I have never cancelled a tour or booking, but if I ever do your deposit will be immediately returned in full. I hold an ABN and can provide full invoicing.

Please respect that this is my full time job and sole source of income, so especially important while travelling. Thank you for your understanding.

Other FAQs/Considerations
What are your limits for photoshoots regarding posing style?
I'm passionate about creating artistic, emotive and evocative imagery. I am not available to model open leg or explicit/adult styles. Please use my portfolio on this website as a guide to my comfort limits. I retain the right to turn down concepts that I deem to be too explicit, provocative, tacky, cheesy, degrading or silly. I like to pose freely and expressively, but if an image captures anything that is beyond my levels that I am available to be booked for it must be removed. If you require further clarification of my boundaries, please feel free to ask.
Can you do your own hair/makeup/provide wardrobe?
I always arrive at shoots with basic hair and makeup ready and any agreed wardrobe items/props in hand - unless otherwise discussed. If you would like to use your own HMUA it generally is included in booking time.
Can we talk/organise the shoot by phone call not by email or messenger?
I do not discuss/organise/negotiate shoots over the phone, it is important for me to have the conversation history in writing so I can easily refer back to it!
When does the booking time start and finish?
I am often on a predetermined schedule so the clock must start and end at the agreed time (eg: if we scheduled a 2 hour shoot starting at 10am, we must be wrapped by 12pm). The booking time begins when arriving at the location, so if it requires a 30 minute hike after arriving (for example) that must be factored into the booking time. The booking time is just that, and includes things like discussions of ideas during the shoot, water/food breaks, changing time, bathroom breaks.
Do you charge travel time?
Up to one hour travel time to and from the shoot location is allowed for without extra cost, but an additional travel cost will be required for distant locations that exceed this range. Travel time to any additional locations once the shoot has begun is included in the shoot time (ie the clock does not stop if you wish to change locations during our shoot).
Do you do sunrise shoots or late night shoots?
This is to be discussed at time of booking, otherwise it will be assumed a booking is for hours anytime between 7am-7pm. I will consider hours outside of this while on tour if it works with my existing schedule. I ask a surcharge of 100AUD for any booking commencing before 7am. The rationale for this is that when considering hair and makeup time and travel time, such an early start significantly impacts my shooting schedule for the evening before and the remainder of the day following. *surcharge waived as part of full day bookings
Will you shoot in public places?
Any shoot involving outfits that aren’t suitable for public wear must be on private property or have a reasonable expectation of privacy (ie not a popular spot for children or families, the odd dog-walker or jogger is okay) unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon.
Will you do video work as part of our shoot?
Maybe! I have differing rates depending on the project - please discuss this at time of booking. I am happy to do creative/movement video, but I must be told when you are filming.
Can I film behind the scenes?
I agree to this on a case by case basis and will usually agree if it’s tasteful and curated for social media (ie IG story etc). I must be informed of any filming or security camera at the shoot location before our booking.
Will you sign a model release?
All releases must be sent to me prior to our booking for my approval. I will not sign any contracts presented to me on the spot.
What if I chose to finish early?
If you choose to end our shoot early, my fee will not be prorated
Can I bring a second photographer or an assistant or crew?
I do not usually do “group shoots” and have additional loading of rates for extra shooters (see rates info above). I also have a strict policy of only one person shooting at a time. In regards to crew and assistants, I must be informed prior to the shoot of any additional people to you and I who will be on set or if you wish to bring an assistant on location - these must be professionals involved with the running of the shoot.
Can you get your hair wet during the shoot?
Inform me during the organisation of the shoot if you wish for me to get my hair wet. I need to ensure you are either my last shoot of the day, or that there is enough time between shoots to restyle my hair
Can you put substance XYZ on your skin during the shoot?
If you want me to be covered in any substance such as baby oil, mud, or paint. It must be discussed prior to the shoot and there must be facilities available to clean up, and sufficient time to do so must be allotted (within my billable hours). I no longer do shoots involving body paint as I am yet to experience any that don’t either stain my skin for days or cause a reaction :(
Will you pose in really hot or really cold conditions, rain, snow, extreme weather etc?
If you want me to pose in full direct sunlight (aka midday beach shoot in Summer) there must be breaks or shaded areas. If shooting with little or no clothing, temperatures must be warmer than 15°C. If it is any cooler than that and you still wish to shoot outdoors I will be wearing weather appropriate attire unless specially discussed and agreed upon prior to our shoot. If you want to shoot in the rain, snow, frost etc that must be discussed at the time of booking so I can properly prepare my schedule. I cannot risk my health posing in extreme conditions when I have other booking commitments, as it isn’t fair to other photographers. *please see above note regarding photographer’s responsibility to have an inclement weather backup plan.
Will you pose with another model?
I really enjoy doing duo work but I am very selective in this regard so I reserve the right to reject and proposed models
Where can I use the images we shoot, do you have any limitations on usage?
General restrictions are: work I model for cannot be published on pornographic/adult sites/magazine, my likeness cannot be used to train AI machine learning or to generate images using my likeness, cannot be sold for stock imagery, cannot be commercially licensed to a third party without my explicit consent on case by case basis.
Can you share our photos on instagram/social media to promote me?
I’m happy to share those images that fit with the aesthetic/branding of my social media - I also post the uncensored versions of the images on platforms that allow it such as Twitter. Generally I am more likely to share images if I have a say in the selection process.
Will you shoot for adult websites/“pay sites”?
No I do not sign releases allowing the use of my work on Adult/Pornographic/“Pay sites”
Do I have to give you photos after our shoot?
No I don’t expect images if I am being paid for my time. It is a nice bonus though and I always like to see the results of our session.
